I’ve had my Etsy shop and lettering Instagram account for just over 2 years. I carried over the branding from my person portfolio website (www.sarahtrafford.com) when I started ‘Sarah Types’ however I think it’s time for a re-launch and new branding for Sarah Types.
I came up with a simple Branding Guide, something that would work for me right now but I could also build off of later when necessary. The items I decided on were:
- Main logo
- Logo icon
- Colour Paletter
- Blog Buttons
- Main Font & Secondary Font
- Etsy photography
- Instagram Feed
I think if you’re using your Instagram feed for business purposes it should be a clean design that reflect your brand. I keep the colours in my photos on the more neutral side with a pop here of there but mostly it’s a lot of grey as well as natural wood. I also like a good amount of contrast so the lettering really stands out. I used mostly VSCO Cam as well as the Ludwig filter on the Instagram app.
For the Etsy shop, I grabbed some stock photography from Creative Market that is mostly light grey, natural wood color/craft paper as well as some greenery. Overall I think everything ties together nicely and there’s also room for improvements in the future!
